Seasons
As the seasons change,
Each brings its own vibe.
Winter keeps me inside
As the holidays slowly arrive.
On my winter walks,
I’ll surely need my jacket.
Gentle snow may be nice,
Just as long as there is no ice.
During these cold months,
A fire will be needed,
Or a blanket that is heated.
Next, spring arrives
As my body begins to thrive.
As flowers bloom,
The sky turns blue.
Now is the time to enjoy my walks
As nature talks.
As the sunshine settles on my skin,
It’s almost time for summer to begin.
Bring on the heat,
As it’s time for the sand
To be beneath my feet.
The sounds of the waves heal my soul.
I wish I had my singing bowl.
Pools, beaches, and lakes—
There’s nowhere I’d rather be,
Except maybe underneath a tree.
The leaves begin to turn colors
As fall is on its way.
It’s time for the ghosts and goblins
To come say hey.
Football season is upon us—
That’s a huge plus.
I kind of miss John Madden
And his bus.
As my garden comes to an end,
It’s time to pick a pumpkin instead.
Soon winter will come back around—
That thought I dread.
As you can see,
Each season has its place.
So do your best to see the good
And embrace.
It’s a beautiful cycle
That we often take for granted—
One of the many blessings
Of our planet.
