My Reiki Level one experience.

For my birthday this year I got my reiki level one certificate. It is what called me on the next step of my journey.  I got it from reiki master Wisteria Dawn at Greenshire insute. A holistic health healing center in Quankertown Pennsylvania.

I first found Wisteria through reaching out about my  website. Her knowledge on spirituality, yoga and reiki amazes me. I had the privilege of having a private lesson.

As we begun the first thing she had me do was a sunbath  and a mini yoga session. She taught me the importance of cleansing the negative energy by using sage or if necessary a dry bath.

The next thing we did was went over the reiki level 1 hand book. It contained

What reiki is?

What Reiki was not

History of Reiki

Chakra knowledge

How to close and open a reiki session

And much more.

Now it was time for the attoment it’s self.  I can’t explain exactly what she did cause I had my eyes closed. The process was about twenty minutes long. Afterwards she allowed me test my new energy on my self.  I learned where to place my hands each of the seven chakra’s. One of the last things we did was she allowed me to preform a full session on her for practice.

The 21 day cleanse.

For those who don’t know after each reiki attoment there is a 21 day cleansing period where the body will go through a detox. I can honestly say this was hard for me. The final two days all I wanted to do was sleep, I was exhausted. Around the fifth day I woke up an emotional wreck. Full of sadness, worries and self doubt. Shortly after I got slight sore throat which eventually became a nasty headache first in my third eye then my crown.  I will absolutely take the  cleansing period more seriously next time around.

All it was a great experience and I I am really anxious to see where it all leads to. I use my new energy on myself every night before I go to sleep and I hope one day I able to use it to help others.
